Effects of Radiation, Heat Source/Sink, Viscous Dissipation on Unsteady MHD Fluid Flow over a Stretching Sheet

- The aim of this paper is to present the unsteady magneto hydrodynamic (MHD) boundary layer flow and heat transfer of a fluid over a stretching sheet in the presence of radiation and viscous dissipation. By similarity transformation, the governing partial differential equations are transformed to set of partial differential equations. The resultant equations are then solved numerically using Runge-Kutta fourth order method along with shooting technique. Effects of various physical parameters on dimensionless velocity and temperature profiles were depicted graphically and analyzed in detail. The numerical predictions have been compared with already published papers and good agreement is obtained. Finally, numerical values of physical quantities such as the skin friction coefficient and the local Nusselt number are presented in tabular form.
