Design and Simulation of Butterworth Filter based on One-Dimensional Photonic Crystals using Transfer Matrix Method

- These in the present paper designs and simulates a FIR using one- dimensional Photonic Crystals structure based on materials, including Silicon (Si) and Germanium (Ge) to put into operation in optical communication systems. In this process, it examines the effect of the bandwidth of the optical transmission system using the operation of Butterworth filter and through Transfer Matrix Method (TMM), the case of diffraction of light and Defect. It also considers the changes in frequency characteristics of the system due to an increase in the width of the layers and Defects.
