Gait Recognition: A Survey
-
G. Venkata Narasimhulu; Dr. S. A. K. Jilani
- This paper describes on an over view of gait
recognition. Principal Component Analysis (PCA) with Radon
Transform (RT), Principal Component Analysis (PCA) without
Radon Transform (RT), Linear Discriminant Analysis (LDA)
with Radon Transform (RT), Linear Discriminant Analysis
(LDA) without Radon Transform (RT), Principal Component
Analysis (PCA) with Linear Discriminant Analysis (LDA) and
Incremental PCA-LDA algorithms are applied for gait
recognition. Gait Energy Image (GEI) has constructed to apply
PCA with and without RT. LDA/PCA algorithm is used for face
recognition. The Two techniques achieved equal error rates
(EER) of 94.23%,82.28% and 90.38% for PCA and
96.15%,82.70% and 92.30% for PCA with RT for slow walk,
fast walk and carrying a ball walk Radon Transform is used for
gait representation and gait recognition. The Radon is used to
detect features within an image. False alarm rate (FAR) is low
for LDA+RT is compared to the FAR of LDA. LDA+RT is
better than LDA. PCA and LDA based gait recognition
algorithm is better than of based on PCA. Incremental
PCA-LDA algorithm is applied for face recognition.
Incremental PCA method is update the eigenspace model. The
LDA method is update the fisher space model. Comparison of
different methods of Gait Recognition based on different gait
database of the Recognition rate is above 95%.
