- Multicarrier transmission is also known as Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) and OFDM is a promising technique for high-rate data transmission. But the high Peak-to-Average Power Ratio (PAPR) is one of the main obstacles to limit wide applications of OFDM. And our aim is to reduce the PAPR of an OFDM signal. So that in this paper we selected the partial transmit sequence (PTS) for Peak-to-Average Power Ratio (PAPR) reduction technique in OFDM signal. The merit of this proposed method is efficient PAPR reduction performance in OFDM. In order to reduce PAPR, the sequence of input data is rearranged by the PTS for the reduction of PAPR as compared to other techniques. Hence as a result the PTS techniques give PAPR reduction more efficient by varying the number of phase sequences and the length of block size as shown in result graphs.
