CMOS Implementation of Tunable Voltage Gain Current Conveyor

A new CMOS Implementation of Tunable Voltage Gain Current Conveyor (TVGCCII) has been proposed. This circuit is composed of two basic building blocks, CMOS CCII (second generation current conveyor) and CMOS CCCII (current controlled current conveyor). Using the property of intrinsic resistance variation with the external bias current at terminal X of CMOS CCCII, the circuit is proposed. CMOS TVGCCII has advantages of high impedance, simple circuit configuration, high frequency of operation, low power consumption and gain-bandwidth product is not constant over classical operational amplifier. It requires little silicon chip area comparative to bipolar technology. PSPICE simulation results for the proposed circuit in 0.5µm CMOS technology is included. The proposed circuit meet its ideal port characteristics in the frequency range of 0-100MHz.
