Performance Analysis of WDM/TDM PON Using Different EDFA Pumping Schemes

Erbium doped fiber amplifier (EDFA) has greatly helped in overcoming the propagation loses which are of biggest concern for next generation wavelength division multiplexing (WDM)/time division multiplexing (TDM) passive optical network (PON). So in this paper we analyses the performance of WDM/TDM PON with different pumping schemes in terms of BER, Gain and noise figure.
