A System Dynamics Model of Demand Chain Management in the Context of Manufacturing Industries

Customer demand is characterized by uncertainty because of its relation to a large number of factors which affect it. As in any other real life situation these also have closed loop feedback relationships. The DCM system consists of many closed loop feedback relations and thus reinforces the need for a dynamic modeling. A System Dynamics model for DCM is developed with the help of expert opinion for DCM feedback relationships, in consistence with the standard procedure of System Dynamics modeling.
