This article presents the Micro-strip Patch Antenna (R-MSP) in a simple rectangular shape which operates at 882 MHz for industrial robotic applications. The designed antenna consists of FR4 as a dielectric medium with ε_r= 4.4. The R-MSP antenna has been modelled using the Finite Element Method (FME). The fabricated R-MSP antenna was tested using vector network analyzer. The antenna feed line (transmission line) at various distances from its right edge was investigated to select good impedance matching in the resonant frequency band. Finally, to converts antenna load impedance (??) to a 50 ? characteristics impedance, a quarter wavelength transformer was used. After determining good agreement between FME-based and measured antenna results, the radiation pattern of the designed antenna was measured practically at the E and H- planes at 870 MHz, 880 MHz, and 890 MHz.
